There may be times when inventory discrepancies occur, as the Smapify app is not perfect. Inventory discrepancies can be fixed manually but the steps differ depending on what platform users have set as the primary inventory.
If the primary inventory is set as Smaregi
Inventory sync from Smaregi to Shopify happens as a relative value.
When fixing discrepancies, users have to first input the correct number to Shopify to match Smaregi's count and manually adjust Smaregi inventory afterwards. Changing Smaregi inventory before matching Shopify's inventory level to Smaregi would still result in discrepancies.
Example:
Shopify Product A inventory: 10, Smaregi Product A inventory: 3
Step 1: Adjust Shopify inventory to 3 (to match Smaregi)
Step 2: Update Smaregi inventory to 5
Results: Shopify Product A inventory: 5, Smaregi Prodcut A inventory: 5
If the primary inventory is set as Shopify
Inventory sync from Shopify occurs as am absolute value.
The exact value input within Shopify will sync over to Smaregi and users do not have to fix anything on Smaregi.
Example:
Shopify Product A inventory: 10, Smaregi Product A inventory: 3
Step 1: Adjust Shopify inventory to 5
Result: Shopify Product A inventory: 5, Smaregi Product A inventory: 5
