In Smapify, when a user is using the Inventory Sync feature, they are required to choose the Primary Inventory platform. They are able to choose either Smaregi or Shopify and once chosen, manual inventory adjustments, CSV imports, arrival of stock and shipments of stock will need to be done only within the chosen platform for syncing. However, this does not mean inventory changes will not occur for orders. Orders will continue to affect inventory levels even if it is not from the primary inventory platform.
Shopify as the Primary Inventory
Manual adjustments and shipments / arrivals made on Smaregi will not affect Shopify inventory levels. However, manual adjustments in Shopify will be synced over to Smaregi.
When using Shopify as the primary inventory platform, the inventory levels will be synced over to Smaregi as an absolute value - meaning the value of the inventory levels that Shopify holds will directly be synced over to Smapify.
Again, even if the primary inventory is set as Shopify, orders from Smaregi will trigger inventory changes within Shopify as well.
Smaregi as the Primary Inventory
Manual adjustments and shipments / arrivals made on Shopify will not affect Smaregi inventory levels. However, manual adjustments in Smaregi will be synced over to Shopify.
When using Smaregi as the primary inventory platform, the inventory levels will be synced over to Shopify as a relative value - meaning the value of the change made will be synced over. (ex. if you changed a products inventory level from 10 to 15 on Smaregi, +5 would be synced over to Shopify.)
Importing inventory CSVs on Smaregi will not sync over correctly. Please utilize the CSV import within the arrival registration setting in Smaregi to correctly import inventory for syncing.
